In a democratic country, two national level political parties can never have same set of objectives and ideologies. If we talk about India, BJP and INC both are having different set of principles. Political leaders of both the parties never miss a chance to calumniate and defame each other. Both the parties are always at the loggerheads over key issues,reforms,policies and bills.

Then what is "Behind-The-Scenes" story?

BJP and INC both have shown their efforts towards electoral reforms. BJP has,in fact, reiterated the concept of state-funding in elections to curb the unaccounted money.

However, it is the same party which told SC last year that political parties can't be under RTI act. Congress too agreed upon this because if political parties come under the purview of RTI Act, Congress will have to face tough time.

Both the parties was in consensus when Supreme court ruled that candidates running in the election will have to provide their criminal backgrounds.

Last year,BJP government had mutely moved to let the BJP and Congress off the legal hook for violating the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010.Both the parties accepted donations from the London based multinational,Vedanta.

It is hypocritical attitude of parties and government that on one hand they want the judiciary to be more accountable and judicial process to be more transparent while making their own dubious internal processes opaque. 

If government is really concerned about black-money issue,it needs to make process transparent in political parties which is the "Gangotri" of black-money.
